Food and New Friends

So, Kat and I just made plans with one of our newest couples, Helen and Ralph. A laid back dinner (or lunch, Katherine has yet to tell me,) sounds like a great idea. These two are our very first Bumble couple. Ralph appropriately makes his wife’s eyes roll. Instant seal of approval. Even better, they […]

Events | Calvary Ladies’ Tea

Every year, without fail, all of the ladies in our church family get dressed up, decorate tables, and come and enjoy a tea together! The men serve little tea sandwiches and hot water, there’s always a wonderful speaker, and plenty of good fellowship. I get to enjoy eating and drinking tea, and Mark gets to photograph it, hehehe. Enjoy his work!

Maddelyn | Newborn Portrait Session

Oh man! We were so blessed to be able to do a NEWBORN session for some sweet new parents in our church. We had planned on doing a maternity session with them, but time ran away from all of us, and before anyone knew it, little miss Maddelyn was already here! She can be quite a force.   It was great timing for this shoot, since her relatives were in town. No English spoken, but many exaggerated […]

Carlos & Juliana | Portraits

These two are adorable. I met Juju when I was 12. She was the cutest little kindergartener, complete with an eyepatch, smart as all get out.  Carlos is a talented guitarist/vocalist and a man whose diligence continues to impress me to this day. I had the pleasure of playing worship music with him for a […]

Never Too Old For A Tea Party

Katherine and I had a blast at the Ladies’ Tea(/Coffee) Party.  It’s good to be at a church with an active ladies’ ministry.  Women of all ages hosted tables and invited guests; there was a raffle, snacks and two contests, “Best Hat” and “Best Head Ornament”, of which I was the judge. A few men […]

Photography in a tutu

The last few weeks have been busy! I was in a dance concert- one that I also had to photograph. I photographed everything up until my dance and then ran backstage. Afterwards, I came right back out to get back to work, only this time in my tutu because I wouldn’t have time to change […]
