Allison & Samuel | Montpelier Center for Arts Wedding

sweet newlywed couple

Montpelier Center for Arts Wedding in Ashland, Virginia

I can’t say it enough- Allison and Samuel are perfect for each other. I basically died right after Allison asked Mark and I to photograph their wedding, because they are just so stinkin’ adorable. They are both laid back and just happy to be around each other. They make weird faces at each other and call each other random variations of the word “babe.” Basically, they are wonderfully themselves and authentically comfortable and sweet with each other. They were so excited to get married, and their infectious joy made for the most fun-filled wedding.

Allison and Samuel found each other in high school and started dating before they could even drive themselves to dates. So, when I met Allison in college, Samuel was already a staple in her life. She and I were roommates with a few other girls for most of college, and when we all finally met Samuel, we definitely called him “Samel” because that is how Allison referred to him. We could all tell they were perfect for each other (obviously they already knew that).

Some of my favorite moments from the day:

– Their first look: Allison was so emotional, and Samuel was basically lost for words when he saw her. Both of their faces broke out into these huge grins.
– Neil’s speech: Allison’s dad is so wholesome. He made the best toast to his daughter and new son, talking about being their taxi service, and Allison being all grown up now. *tears*
– All of the hugs and laughter. Lots of old friends were gathered for their big day, and it was so nice to catch up with everyone.
– The taco bar: Need I say more?

They are a beautiful couple, not only photogenic, but just kind-hearted and genuine. Mark and I enjoyed being surrounded by their loved ones for the whole day. Allison and Samuel, congratulations on this new season in your already seasoned relationship. I know it will just keep getting better for you two, and Mark and I were so happy to be a part of your wedding.
