Eileen & Dustin | Old Town Hall Wedding

Eileen is sweet and thoughtful. She loves to send handwritten notes of full of encouragement, and her handwriting is gorgeous to boot. Her smile lights up the room and just radiates joy. It’s no wonder Dustin fell for her. He’s quiet and observant, a perfect match for her. Together, they make everyone they are with feel at ease and at peace. They met during college, somewhere in between InterVarsity retreats and studying, and said their vows on a warm fall morning, October 7th, 2018.

The wedding was held at Old Town Hall, in Fairfax, Virginia. The beauty of the venue matched that of the Dustin and Eileen seamlessly: refined and inviting, open but intimate. The Maid of Honor, Helen, expertly managed the day’s events, completely putting the couple at ease. The “getting ready” pictures (and some details!) for the bride were taken at her grandmother’s house, which suited Mark perfectly, as Eileen’s grandpa came to the rescue with extra mugs of coffee. Katherine forgot to drink hers, of course.

From there, it was off to the gorgeous venue for the rest of the day’s festivities, which, by the way, went off flawlessly. A few choked up moments here and there, some happy tears during the ceremony. Everyone was brimming with emotion and catharsis, but seemed to stifle it slightly as a way of letting the bride and groom have it all, if just for that moment.

The reception was relaxed and informal, only pausing for the speeches and dances one would expect. The brightness of the reception hall put everyone in a lighthearted mood, rounded out perfectly by the light refreshments (in cute mugs everyone got to take home!).

Eileen and Dustin, you two were made for each other, and it was a joy to see you wed. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day.

Two of the groomsmen, the best man (Dustin’s brother), and Peter, spent time praying over Dustin and Eileen’s marriage while we had some extra time before the reception.
