Morgan & Mason | A Historic Greenbrier Farms Wedding

Historic Greenbrier Farms | Chesapeake, Virginia Wedding

September 14, 2019 was all about Morgan and Mason. As Mark mentioned in last week’s blog, we met these two over a year ago before they hired us to do their engagement session at First Landing. We were so so happy when they met with us again earlier this year and asked if we’d photograph their wedding! These two are so loving and genuine, and they already feel like old friends to us. We actually grabbed dinner with them a few weeks  back (at our favorite restaurant, Gordon Beirsch) and just hung out for a few hours. Hardly any of it had to do with wedding planning. We talked about Morgan’s crazy schedule, Mason’s issues with having to get school records that don’t exist anymore, and Mark and Mason played a pretty crazy game of rock, paper, scissors. Mark claimed that he could work out a pattern and win… then Mason proceeded to school him by winning 6 times in a row. It was a blast.

But let’s get back to their big day. It was an absolute joy and an honor to be with them for it. Morgan is honest, to-the-point, sweet, and tiny, but oh-so-fierce. She knows what she wants, and she puts her all into it. Mason is humble, genuine, and always willing to put others before himself. His love for Morgan is so pure, and it was just beautiful to watch her blossom under it all day on Saturday! It’s clear that they really think the world of each other, and we were so happy to document their love! Their friends are wonderful and definitely jokesters. The matron of honor and best man, Azzy and Dacari, planned a fake first look for Mason. It was hilarious to watch unfold.

The entire day was so fulfilling to be a part of! From the moment we walked in, to the second we hugged goodbye and drove off, we loved being there. We loved watching their parents beam with pride, their families laugh and enjoy themselves, and their friends tear up here and there. Everything was so joyful! Their written vows were sweet and honest, and their reception entrance was quite the show. They entered and went into their really interesting first dance. It started fast and ended slow, with perfect dance moves in between, and a killer dip at the end. Their answers were perfect when they played the shoe game. I found myself mouthing, “They are so stinkin’ adorable,” to Mark across the room while they played.

Morgan and Mason, we are so happy for you two! You’re an incredible couple, with amazing an amazing future ahead of you. You have everything you need to accomplish whatever you set your minds to- the loving support of each other. We love you both and can’t thank you enough for letting us be the ones to save the memories of your wedding day. Enjoy!!

These two are actually dating! Crissy said that when she saw her boyfriend catch the garter, she told herself she HAD to catch the bouquet.
