Heather & Stephen | A Wedding at Antebellum of New Kent

Heather and Stephen are literal superheros. Not only did they plan a wedding while buying a house and moving (on top of continuing on with their normal lives), but they also had to scramble to find a new venue at the last minute!! They found out their first choice had been sold and would no longer be hosting weddings within months of their big day. Suddenly they had to find a new one that would allow outside catering, AND was available on their wedding day, since they had already booked everyone when they found out the awful news! Thankfully, Mark and I had shot a few times at a newly opened venue, Antebellum of New Kent, which we immediately suggested. Antebellum stepped up, and Heather and Stephen’s day was saved.

Everything about their day was wonderful. You would never know that anything was amiss during planning, since Heather and Stephen were totally focused on each other, as it should always be. They both had a great time getting ready with their friends. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen more snacks in a bridal suite, but that just makes Heather even more of a TMC bride, because Mark and I are all about SCHNACKS. As soon as we arrived, Stephen came outside to ask if he had seen Mark wearing a bow tie, because none of the guys knew how to tie one. Mark doesn’t either, since I always tie his. Needless to say, I found myself in the groom suite a little later, helping the guys tie on their bow ties!

The ceremony was gorgeously decorated and so sweet- the way they looked at each other across the isle was probably the cutest thing ever. After they got married, the wild rumpus ensued. Basically every guest was dancing with a fan in one hand and a drink in the other, since it was over 100 degrees outside, and not much better indoors. Regardless of the heat, everyone had a blast, and the night went down in history.

Enjoy some of our favorites from their day!
