Personal | Three Years

In the spirit of celebrating our anniversary all week (just like we call every vacation we go on our honeymoon… suppose that will stop when we have children hahaaaa), here’s a blog post with a few of our favorite pictures from our wedding day (thanks to The Photography Smiths). It rained for like two seconds that morning, which we all hear is good luck. Mark stayed up all night and wrote his vows out that morning, while Katherine woke up early to decorate and put final touches on everything with the help of several wonderful friends. Then the whole thing went off with a lot of hard work and a good marriage to show for it.

It’s hard to believe it all happened three years ago. It has passed by so quickly! But to think that we have an entire lifetime still to go puts it in perspective. We are looking forward to the next forever and we are thankful for the gift of each other.

We did a first look. This is one of Katherine's favorites from it, possibly her favorite from the whole day.

Still diggin the decor. Thank you, Ed.

We look like babies. Probably still look like babies.

We also talk about getting married to each other again- a vow renewal, at some point. Kat may or may not already have a Pinterest board for it. We like the idea of reminding each other of our vows and celebrating the work put into our legacy. It’s not that our vows are just so forgettable that our memories need to be jogged- it’s that the perspective is important to keep. That’s part of why we like photographing weddings.
