Mandy & Andrew: Engaged!

Hey, friends! Katherine here. Mark and I absolutely loved hanging out with Mandy and Andrew, getting to know them better, and capture some of their sweet relationship. I actually met both of them through my youth group, maybe almost ten years ago now. Their love story reminds me of those old couples in When Harry Met Sally. Mandy told me that the first time she saw Andrew, she told her sister, “I know it sounds weird, but I know that I’m gonna marry him one day.” She didn’t even know his name yet!! But apparently that intuition was mutual, because when they started dating, only a week went by before Andrew knew that Mandy was it for him. That was almost six years ago now. 

“He never got down on one knee. He didn’t have a ring in his pocket. But he didn’t need to. He knew that the answer would always be yes.”

As Mandy told me, “He never got down on one knee. He didn’t have a ring in his pocket. But he didn’t need to. He knew that the answer would always be yes.” I love that- that the answer would always be yes. Ten years from now, twenty years from now, the answer will still be yes, because this whole love and commitment thing, it’s a choice- one you have to make daily.
